The Nigerian house of senate has approved the $1billion (N165bn) loan requested by President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan in July 2014 to help in the fight against terrorism and tackle insecurity in the federal Republic of Nigeria. The loan would be used for the purchase of military equipment and the training of military personnel.
The loan approved will be in addition to the N968.127billion voted for Defense in the 2014 budget by the federal government.What do our readers think?
Is this not just another method of corruption? Or is will this be used for the purpose it was acquired for?
